Underclassman Hershul Olloway Jr Comes Up Big Against Albuquerque Academy
Underclassman Hershul Olloway Jr came into Thursday's matchup looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. Albuquerque Academy had no answer to Olloway Jr on Thursday as he rushed for 257 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Olloway Jr was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
St. Pius X's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Olloway Jr and St. Pius X will face off against Portales at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Galles Came Up Big in Albuquerque Academy's 35-21 Loss
Jett Galles put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Thursday. He picked up 154 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Albuquerque Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Galles and Albuquerque Academy will challenge Manzano at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

A Season-Best Effort from Aidan Harrington Leads Valencia over Chaparral
Valencia was led to victory by Aidan Harrington, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Harrington rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 104 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023.
Harrington and Valencia will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Manzano at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th. The contest will pit Harrington up against the Monarchs' star QB James Vautier. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
