In what's become a running theme this season, Prince of Peace gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Shelton as Prince of Peace made off with a 66-43 victory. Given Prince of Peace's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Shelton is ranked 797th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Covenant ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Brook Hill by the margin of a single free throw, 53-52. The win made it back-to-back wins for Covenant.
Covenant found their leader in underclassman Luke Thomason, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomason has scored all season. Brady Shahan was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Prince of Peace's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-9. As for Covenant, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-9.
Prince of Peace strolled past Covenant in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 77-63. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Covenant's Josh Hook, who scored 23 points.
