O'Connor is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Xavier College Prep is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. O'Connor will take on Xavier College Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
O'Connor's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Liberty.

Charleigh Schuettler was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Raegan Holtorf, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
O'Connor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, Xavier College Prep made easy work of Corona del Sol on Thursday and carried off a 14-0 victory. The Gators have beaten the Aztecs the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Aztecs has come to flipping the script.
The team relied heavily on Joie Ramos, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Sariah McNabb was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
O'Connor is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Xavier College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-3.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. O'Connor hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Xavier College Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
O'Connor suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Xavier College Prep in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will O'Connor have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
