The Vista PEAK Prep Bison will head out on the road to take on the Denver North Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Vista PEAK Prep comes in on six and Denver North on nine.
Vista PEAK Prep scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Kennedy with a sharp 69-44 victory. With Vista PEAK Prep ahead 40-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vista PEAK Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eianna Jackson, who scored 11 points along with six assists and three steals. Jackson also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mimi McGaughy, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Denver North was able to grind out a solid victory over Regis Groff on Friday, taking the game 46-37.
Solana Diaz was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Adriana Ortiz was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Vista PEAK Prep is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Denver North, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Vista PEAK Prep against Denver North in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 69-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vista PEAK Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
