The Santa Fe Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Coastal Academy Stingrays at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Coastal Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Santa Fe Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Francis Parker with a sharp 19-2 win on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Torin Bennett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Santa Fe Christian let Maya Tyszkiewicz and Maddie Binnie run wild. Tyszkiewicz went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Binnie went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs Binnie has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Emond, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Santa Fe Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Francis Parker struck out 13 times.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Coastal Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Tri-City Christian 14-13. That's two games straight that the Stingrays have won by just one run.
The victory got Santa Fe Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Coastal Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Santa Fe Christian couldn't quite get it done against Coastal Academy in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 5-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
