The Walker Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Pinecrest Academy Paladins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walker is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Friday, Walker got themselves on the board against Lanier Christian Academy, but Lanier Christian Academy never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lightning 31-0 at home. The win was just what Walker needed coming off of a 50-6 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy took a serious blow against Cherokee Christian on Friday, falling 49-10. Pinecrest Academy was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Walker's victory bumped their season record to 4-4 while Pinecrest Academy's defeat dropped theirs to 3-5.
Walker came up short against Pinecrest Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 26-22. Can Walker avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
