The Somerset Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) at 7:00 p.m. Uvalde took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Somerset, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, everything went Somerset's way against Hondo as Somerset made off with a 5-1 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Somerset has managed all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Uvalde were a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 4-1 defeat at the hands of Pleasanton.
Uvalde's goal came courtesy of
Samuel Haughey, which was the first he's scored this season.
Somerset's victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1. As for Uvalde, they dropped their record down to 2-8-2 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Somerset might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Uvalde in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Somerset avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
