Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Flint Hill Huskies, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell just short of Trinity Episcopal by a score of 30-28. Flint Hill's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Flint Hill had strong showings from Joshua Clarke, who gained 98 total yards and two touchdowns, and Victor McNeal, who picked up 57 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Trinity Episcopal can attribute much of their success to Trey Grant, who rushed for 131 yards and three touchdowns.
Flint Hill's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Trinity Episcopal, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Flint Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Trinity Episcopal will head out on the road to face off against Benedictine at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Benedictine is ranked first, while Trinity Episcopal is ranked ninth).
