On Friday Newton take on Oskaloosa at 7:30 PM. Each team will be battling to keep their 4-game winning streak alive.
Newton put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They took the contest and then some with a 49-7 win over South Tama County. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Meanwhile, Oskaloosa were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything came up roses for them against Grinnell as the team secured a 44-7 victory.
Their wins bumped Oskaloosa to 4-1 and Newton to 4-2. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Oskaloosa and Newton will really light up the scoreboard.
