It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Woodinville Falcons face off against Issaquah Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Woodinville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Skyline as Woodinville made off with a 10-4 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by six runs or more this season.

Mason Dias looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Woodinville is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Woodinville got a big performance out of Connor Hennessy, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Hennessy has become a key player for Woodinville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hennessy, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Woodinville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Issaquah earned a 6-2 win over Redmond on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.
Tyler Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on nine hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
At the plate, Charlie Lydum was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Mason Uchimura was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Woodinville pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Issaquah, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Woodinville skirted past Issaquah 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Woodinville repeat their success, or does Issaquah has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
