The Marietta Blue Devils won the last time they faced the Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Marietta blew past Kennesaw Mountain 62-9 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Marietta has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marietta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayla Day, who scored nine points along with nine steals and six assists. Those nine steals set a new season-high mark for Day. Another player making a difference was Kyann Senior, who scored 14 points.
Marietta pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marietta will be home for the holidays to greet Campbell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Campbell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Friday. As for Kennesaw Mountain, they will play host again and welcome Lovett, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lovett focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 50 last Friday.
