The Hagerstown Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Connersville Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hagerstown will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Connersville's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Hagerstown hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Tigers walked away with a 3-0 win over Northeastern on Thursday. The three-run effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Rylan Young's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Mackenzee Johnson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Elly Cheesman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Hagerstown hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northeastern struck out 16 times.
Meanwhile, Connersville might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Greensburg who claimed the real prize. The Spartans fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-4.
Connersville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Spurlock, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hagerstown pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.4 runs. As for Connersville, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-9.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hagerstown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .386. However, it's not like Connersville struggles in that department as they've averaged .382. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
