Basketball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Piles Up the Points Against New Creation Christian Academy

Tattnall Square Academy lost to New Creation Christian Academy back in December of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Tattnall Square Academy Trojans claimed a resounding 86-58 win over the New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Trojans have posted since February 6th.

Tattnall Square Academy was led to victory by Antone Johnson and Whit Davidson. Johnson posted 16 points and seven steals, while Davidson had 21 points. The game was Johnson's third in a row with at least ten points. Ty Hunnicutt was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Tattnall Square Academy, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Tattnall Square Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-49 victory against Trinity Christian on the 10th. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-62 loss against Young Americans Christian on the 10th.
