The Seaforth Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Western Alamance Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seaforth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Seaforth proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Southeast Alamance 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted since April 19, 2024.

Emma Grace Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Hill wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Annika Johansson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Johansson hit this season.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Western Alamance and Eastern Guilford had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Western Alamance was the clear victors by a 23-5 margin over Eastern Guilford on Wednesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Like Seaforth, Western Alamance also got a great game from a two-way player: Camryn Rodrigues. On the mound, Rodrigues pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Anna Klein tossed three innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Rodrigues went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs, while Klein scored three runs while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Western Alamance got a massive performance out of Graysen Saul, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ryan Justice, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Western Alamance was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in five consecutive matches.
Seaforth's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-3. As for Western Alamance, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Seaforth hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Western Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
