Elyria Catholic started the matchup off right with 37 first-half points. Normandy wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 8 to make it 37-8 heading into the break. Elyria Catholic put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and six points allowed from the defense.
The victory (their 4th in a row) raised Elyria Catholic's record to 7-2. Normandy are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Next week Elyria Catholic will take on Rocky River at 7:00 PM. Rocky River also lit up the scoreboard in their last contest, so this could be a high-scoring contest. As for Normandy, they will go up against Garfield Heights.
