Fans got a thrill when Peyton Pocock and Tylar Dahlke connected against Lincoln Southwest. The longest such play in A District 4 this season, the connection resulted in 78 yards.
North Platte fell to Lincoln East 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Pierce Almond threw for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 14-25 with 2 interceptions.
Tyson Wilson was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 110 yards on 16 carries as Lincoln lost to Norfolk. Teammate Yohanna Shokai added to the ground attack by rushing for 95 yards.
Voss was the best receiver in the league this week as the Tigers fell to the Panthers. Voss racked up 5 receptions for 115 yards. Matt Grimm helped Fremont's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 36 yards.
Almond put up the best numbers in passing as Grand Island fell to Omaha Westside. Almond's favorite target this week was Rodrigo Venegas, who caught 2 passes for 88 yards.
Curtis Brodd was a key player and the best on defense this week as Fremont fell to Norfolk. The 6-foot-1 senior grabbed 1.5 sacks.
Seth McClain's team's Eliott Gloeb and Voss have formed a dream team this season, leading A District 4 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Gloeb has thrown for 706 yards this season, while Voss has 14 catches for 274 yards. Shokai from the Links leads the league in rushing with 455 yards.
The Tigers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,922 from 9,332. The advance stemmed from a 42-17 victory over Fremont last week.
