Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 48-47 to Pahrump Valley.
Despite the defeat, Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas saw an underclassman step up: Clinton Ezugha scored 17 points. Ezugha scored a full 36.2% of Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lucas Hamilton, who scored 10 points.
Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Pahrump Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will be playing in front of their home fans against American Heritage Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. American Heritage Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Pahrump Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Sports Leadership & Management focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
