Avery County took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Draughn get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Vikings were the better team in the second half.

Lily Flores was the driving force of Avery County's attack as she scored both of Avery County's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Meanwhile, North Wilkes had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and Alleghany finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings as the team has yet to pick up a win this season.

The victory got Avery County back to even at 3-3. North Wilkes' draw gives them a new season record of 0-4-1.
