Wheatmore was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ledford apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Wheatmore's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Parker Kines, who scored 22 points along with 4 steals, and Gavin Strickland who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Kines' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Weston Driggers was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Wheatmore bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Ledford, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.

As for Ledford, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Davidson at 7:30 p.m.
