Given Foothill's advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Spring Valley is ranked 36th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Zak Abdalla continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Christopher Natale jr was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bishop Gorman stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Sierra Vista as Bishop Gorman made off with a 73-53 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bishop Gorman.
Foothill's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Bishop Gorman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
Foothill came up short against Bishop Gorman in their previous matchup back in January, falling 59-54. Can Foothill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
