The Thunderbird Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Arcadia Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Thunderbird comes in on four and Arcadia on 11.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Thunderbird had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Bradshaw Mountain 17-16.
Thunderbird's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Elijah Little, who , and Tyler Woods, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Woods' longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Meanwhile, Arcadia had just enough and edged Coconino out 23-20 on Thursday.
It was another big night for Brady Forst, who rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Forst hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Braylen Rooney, who threw for 110 yards and a touchdown.
Thunderbird has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Arcadia, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
