The Douglas County Huskies can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Castle View by a score of 62-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Douglas County also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Douglas County to victory were Anthony Nettles and London Moore. Nettles scored 22 points along with two steals, while Moore scored 22 points. Moore is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Reilly Guerra, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Castle View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vitorio Dante, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 40.8% of Castle View's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Evan Mckean, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Douglas County's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Castle View, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
Douglas County will head out on the road to face off against Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Regis Jesuit has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 269 points over their last four contests. As for Castle View, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Highlands Ranch at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Highlands Ranch is ranked 69th, while Castle View is ranked 59th).
