Despite the loss, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leah DeWitt went 11-for-22 on her way to 36 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeWitt has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzie Everett, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with eight boards and three blocks.
It was another big night for Kaci Demps, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds for Lowndes.
