The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs lost against the Canyon View Falcons back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Crimson Cliffs fell to Canyon View 59-53. Crimson Cliffs has not had much luck with Canyon View recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Crimson Cliffs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kenadee Richey . Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with 7 steals. Richey scored a full 34% of Crimson Cliffs' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Plewe, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals.
Canyon View can attribute much of their success to Maylee Spencer, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Nichols, who scored 13 points.
Crimson Cliffs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Canyon View, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Crimson Cliffs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Beaver at 7:00 p.m. Canyon View will be staying on the road on December 1st to face off against North Sevier at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st.
