The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 43-37 W over San Juan. The victory was just what Gunnison Valley needed coming off of a 70-26 loss in their prior match.
Gunnison Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Linsi Hansen, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hansen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Bartholomew, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Gunnison Valley's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for San Juan, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Gunnison Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Grand County at 2:00 p.m. on January 27th. Hopefully Grand County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 last Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (North Sevier is ranked 87th, while San Juan is ranked 110th).
