For the first time this season, Caddo will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Quinton Savages at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (Caddo has five wins , while Quinton has six dating back to last season).
Caddo's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Snyder, posting a 48-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won four contests by 48 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Caddo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake McKay, who picked up 30 receiving yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground. McKay was even better on defense, making 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Bayler Black, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Special teams also played a big role in the game for Caddo, adding 21 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Black, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from McKay.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Quinton). They claimed a resounding 58-12 victory over Arkoma. Given the Savages' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Mustangs are ranked 64th) , the win last Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Caddo's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Quinton, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.
Everything came up roses for Caddo against Quinton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-0 win. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Savages have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
