At the plate, Potter went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Bixler went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Gaithersburg is 2-1 when Bixler posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Vincent Burakiewicz was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Gaithersburg's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Alex Lantos was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Gaithersburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seneca Valley struck out 11 times.
Poolesville now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Gaithersburg, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
