The McIntosh Chiefs will challenge the Ola Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McIntosh's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Banneker with a sharp 18-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Chiefs, who have now won four contests in a row.

Alex White and Elliott Sturbaum made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, White pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Sturbaum tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. White also tossed no walks, which is notable because McIntosh is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-11 otherwise. At bat, White scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Sturbaum scored three runs while going 1-for-2. Those three runs gave Sturbaum a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Knox Lofstad, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Ashley, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
McIntosh hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Ola won against Union Grove on Wednesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Wolverines. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their 20th in a row.
Ola pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for McIntosh, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
McIntosh suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Ola in their previous matchup back in February. Will the Chiefs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
