The Tri Titans waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They blew past Union County 67-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Tri has posted yet this season.
Josiah Cox continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with five assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Tri's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Melton, who scored eight points along with 16 rebounds.
Tri pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Union County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
Tri will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Oldenburg Academy at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Union County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Southwestern on January 20th. Southwestern comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
