The Crookston Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Park Rapids 92-59. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crookston in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.
Park Rapids' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Morris led the charge by scoring 29 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Carroll, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Crookston has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Park Rapids, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Crookston will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Park Rapids, they will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. West Central Area is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road.
