The Thornton Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Rich Township Raptors at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Thornton and Kenwood (ranked 74 and 87 in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile matchup. Thornton walked away with a 52-45 victory over Kenwood on Saturday.
Thornton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Abraham, who scored 20 points. Layshawn Scott was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rich Township put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Dyett 60-38. 60 seems to be a good number for Rich Township as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Thornton's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Rich Township, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 5-0 record.
