Meanwhile, Murrieta Valley's three-game losing streak came to an end last Friday. They came out on top against Linfield Christian by a score of 63-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Murrieta Valley had a senior duo take command as Brady Jones scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Shaun Stoll Jr. scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Stoll Jr. scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Parker Steffen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Rancho Dominguez has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Murrieta Valley, they pushed their record up to 7-6 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
