Even though the Brookville Blue Devils have not done well against the Oakwood Lumberjacks recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Brookville took down Oakwood 47-29. That 18 points margin sets a new team best for Brookville this season.
Ashlee Haupt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with six assists and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Brookville's points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Lackey, who scored six points.
The win makes it two in a row for Brookville and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Oakwood, they dropped their record down to 11-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookville will take on Valley View at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Tecumseh at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
