The Riverview Sarasota Rams will head out to face off against the Island Coast Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Riverview Sarasota can't be too worried about heading out to take on Island Coast: they just beat Venice at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Rams came out on top against the Indians by a score of 4-1 on Friday. The game was the first time the Rams have beaten the Indians on their field since May 3, 2022.

Riverview Sarasota got a great performance from Morgan Peggs as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The Rams are 3-1 when Peggs allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-15 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Alastair Simonson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Island Coast ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over Barron Collier. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.
Grady Schwiezer tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
At the plate, Island Coast saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Hawkins, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Island Coast pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Riverview Sarasota, their record now sits at 5-16.
Riverview Sarasota beat Island Coast 6-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
