The Alden-Conger Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Rochester STEM Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-45 victory on the road. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for Alden-Conger this season.
Despite the loss, Rochester STEM Academy still got an impressive performance from Ilyas Abdi, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Rashid Jeylani, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Alden-Conger's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12. As for Rochester STEM Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alden-Conger's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. As for Rochester STEM Academy, they will challenge the Fighting Saints at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. St. Charles is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
