The North Stafford Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Riverbend Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Stafford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
North Stafford's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Brooke Point.

Brooke Point's batters probably weren't too happy with Kaylie DeChicchis, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up three walks). DeChicchis has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Lizardo, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Hailey Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Riverbend, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mountain View 2-1.
Chloe King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Riverbend's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Norah Clark, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
North Stafford now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Riverbend, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Stafford has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Riverbend struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
North Stafford was able to grind out a solid win over Riverbend in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
