Jamarion Pegues Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Oxford's Jamarion Pegues, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pegues rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (121.7). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Oxford moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Pegues and Oxford will head out on the road to square off against DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Perry might have his next game, a road matchup with Oxford, circled on his calendar. Perry rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes the last time he and the Chargers duked it out back in October of 2023.

Fairley rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 65 yards.
For the season, Fairley has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 85.8 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.
