The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for University Christian in their matchups with Hickory Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why University Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Reece Morin. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Morin is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Max Haan was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
University Christian bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Hickory Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
