Mound City/Craig won the last time they faced the Worth County Tigers, and things went their way on Monday too. Mound City/Craig came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 50-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mound City/Craig.
Worth County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Ruckman, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristen Tracy, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Mound City/Craig's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Worth County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Mound City/Craig won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Blue Jays at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Rock Port has insisted on making their lastsix contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for Worth County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
