Marine City has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will square off against the Armada Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Marine City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Friday.
Last Friday, Marine City came up short against Hazel Park and fell 50-42.
Despite their loss, Marine City saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Owen Salisbury, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Kyle Rickert was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Armada couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Kingston by a score of 42-40.
The losses dropped Marine City to 0-2 and Hazel Park to 1-1.
Marine City came up short against Armada in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, falling 56-47. Can Marine City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
