The Greenwood Eagles entered their tilt with the Berea Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Greenwood walked away with a 58-46 victory over the Bulldogs on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Greenwood, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Nathan Moore was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 23 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brantavious Hawkins, who scored 16 points.
Greenwood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Berea, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood will stay at home for another game and welcome the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. One thing working in Greenville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 19 matchups. As for Berea, they will be playing at home against the Green Wave at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Easley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Thursday.
