Wando faced Fort Dorchester in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 2-0. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

While Wando won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-11.

Akhil Jamariya paced Wando's offense, picking up eight kills. Jamariya got some help from Henry Seibert and his 19 assists. Kai Park controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wando's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fort Dorchester, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6.

Coincidentally, Wando and Fort Dorchester will both be playing Ashley Ridge the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Swamp Foxes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
