Calera has gone 8-2 against Chilton County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Calera Eagles will be playing at home against the Chilton County Tigers at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Calera turned things around against Pelham on Wednesday. They blew past the Panthers 12-1.

Mia Wade was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Alexis Morgan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.
Wade wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Calera kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pelham only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, Chilton County had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 15-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Lily Benson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Chilton County let Mallie Harrison and Macey Pierce run wild. Harrison went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Pierce went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Anna Cate Burnett, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1.
Calera's win bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Chilton County, they pushed their record up to 18-3-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Everything went Calera's way against Chilton County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Calera made off with an 11-4 win. Does Calera have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chilton County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
