Gallatin County is a perfect 4-0 against Lloyd Memorial since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Juggernauts at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Gallatin County beats Lloyd Memorial with 15 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Wildcats didn't even let Williamstown on the board on Friday, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Isabella Olivigni made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Gallatin County got a massive performance out of Daylen Florence, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Florence a new career-high. Jaidean Branem was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Gallatin County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .710. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Williamstown only posted an OBP of .077.
Meanwhile, Lloyd Memorial got themselves on the board against Newport Central Catholic on Wednesday, but Newport Central Catholic never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Thoroughbreds. The victory continues a trend for the Juggernauts in their matchups with the Thoroughbreds: they've now won three in a row.
Layla Laudick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Laudick was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lloyd Memorial let Railynn Brown and Mady Godsey run wild. Brown went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI, while Godsey went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia Kuhn-Stevenson, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Gallatin County's record is now 11-8. As for Lloyd Memorial, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-6.
Everything went Gallatin County's way against Lloyd Memorial in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Gallatin County made off with a 13-3 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Juggernauts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
