Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Milton Panthers walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 66-43 win on Thursday. Milton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Milton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Treymar Jones out in front who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Sergio Robinson, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Milton's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Niceville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.
Milton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-35 win vs. Gulf Breeze on the 10th. Niceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
