The McDowell Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Asheville on the road to the tune of 90-51. McDowell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.
Rylan Parkins was his usual excellent self, scoring 39 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Roby Franklin was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The victory was the third in a row for McDowell, bringing their record for this year to 13-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.33 points. As for Asheville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDowell will square off against Erwin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Erwin: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while McDowell has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. As for Asheville, they will square off against North Buncombe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Buncombe is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
