St. Anne's-Belfield extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Jonah Brent. The Saints were the clear victors by a 36-15 margin over the Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks on Friday thanks in part to Brent, who rushed for 106 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and one score. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards.

One reason for the win was St. Anne's-Belfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Atlantic Shores Christian's QB won't forget Mattias Kass anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Another thorn in the Seahawks' side was Jack OMalley, who made 12 total tackles and snagged an interception.

St. Anne's-Belfield's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Anne's-Belfield will head out to take on Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Isle of Wight Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
