Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Brewbaker Tech Rams walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Saints on Wednesday as they made off with a 53-31 victory. The win was nothing new for Brewbaker Tech as they're now sitting on four straight.
Leading Brewbaker Tech to victory were Kennedi Mcghee and Erin Martin. Mcghee dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Martin dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Martin has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last 11 times she's played. Taliah July was another key contributor, scoring a point along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Brewbaker Tech has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-14 record this season. As for Selma, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-3.
Brewbaker Tech will be playing at home against Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brewbaker Tech is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Beauregard in Alabama (Brewbaker Tech is ranked 100th, while Beauregard is ranked 297th). Selma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
