On Thursday, the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers got the win against the West Laurens Raiders by a conclusive 5-1. The result was nothing new for the Musketeers, who have now won four games by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit West Laurens with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mary Dempsey Ward (2), Caitlyn Rivers, Carson Murphy, and Sadie Trulock.

The win made it two in a row for Academy of Richmond County and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those two matchups. As for West Laurens, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of Richmond County will venture away from home to challenge Hephzibah at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Academy of Richmond County will be up against Hephzibah's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.4 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Laurens, they will head out on the road to take on Academy for Classical Education at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Classical Education's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so West Laurens' offense will have their work cut out for them.
