McIntosh and the Cardinals are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the McIntosh Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Bison Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: McIntosh has struggled recently with 11 losses in a row, while the Cardinals will arrive with three straight wins.
On Monday, McIntosh was the victim of a rough 75-54 loss at the hands of the Thunder.
Meanwhile, even though Takini scored an imposing 67 points on Saturday, Bison still came out on top. Bison beat the Skyhawks by the very same score they won with last week: 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Bison has posted against the Skyhawks since February 12, 2019.
It was another big night for Rylee Veal, who scored 34 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bison's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Stadler, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
McIntosh dropped their record down to 2-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bison, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.
Things could have been worse for McIntosh, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to the Cardinals in their previous meeting back in January. Can McIntosh avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
